Comedian Seth Rogen gave the people exactly what they wanted; a detailed process of how he makes his ashtrays.

The actor's Instagram content consists primarily of his pottery creations, most recent ones relying on a joint. Here's how the magic happens.

"It's an ashtray and a little coaster that the ashtray also sits in," Rogen said as he wore a pottery jumpsuit that was both ironic and fitting, "We're going to start with the first step which they call wedging the clay, getting all the air bubbles out of it."

The camera cut to Rogen kneading the clay as if it was a pile of pizza dough, "Now I'm going to cut it and weigh it."

The ashtrays consist of a half-pound of clay, expanding over a wide range of color combinations. Fuschia and red, blue and electric green, you name it. He's perfected his hobby-turned-business into an exact science at this point.

"You start by getting it centered. It's like turning your hands into a little mold. Now I'm going to open the clay, which I do by poking my fingers into it."

He then took a wooden tool to carve away the bottom of the clay, forming a bowl-like structure.

The process then jumps to the second day, after a fully-bearded Rogen showcases his progress. A Pineapple Express star genuinely pursuing a pottery wheel is the quarantine content we didn't know that we needed.

Finishing The Masterpiece

After the tray is done drying for a full day, Rogen uses a different contraption to trim it. He holds a small trimming tool at the center of the tray's base. Tapping the carved-out portion ensures that it's not too thin and will hold its shape throughout the following steps.

Next comes attaching the notch. The notch will hold the half-tube piece of clay that plans to hold whatever Rogen's smoking.

After the "bed" is set in the notch, it's kiln time. A simple flick of the wrist and clinking sound means glazing, the most fun part, is in motion.

Celebrities like Chantel Jeffries and Jared Mirsky called the promotion video "quality content" and can't wait to buy one of the handmade sets themselves.
