Millie and Finn have been working on Stranger Things since they were young children, and as Brown has explained, they've quite literally “grown up together."

6 What She And Wolfhard Have Is 'Almost Like A Relationship'

"We’ve done this for nearly seven years," Millie said about working with Finn. "And it almost is like a relationship that we always come back to after however long we’re filming. And we’re like, OK, this is where the characters are now. We can grow and do the scenes together. And we usually improv a lot too, with those types of stuff. So yeah, it’s been really nice doing it with the same person for that long.”

5 Working Together On The Same Show Means They Can Lean On Each Other

Having worked together on the same show, and gone through the same difficulties of achieving huge fame means that Millie and Finn can lean on each other.

“Naturally have our own things that we deal with," Brown has said. "But it’s very nice to turn to the people that have gone through the exact same journey. And you’re like, ‘I actually feel that too’. And we can bond through that together."

4 Millie Bobby Brown And Finn Wolfhard Had Their First Kiss Together

The pair's characters Mike and Eleven had to share an on-screen kiss, and funnily enough this was actually Millie and Finn's first real-life kiss (for both of them). The experience wasn't as magical as it looked on film, however. It was actually pretty awkward, and one of their weirdest moments working together.

3 Brown Explained Just How Awkward It Was

Brown told Marie Claire: "My dad watched the whole thing, my whole family was there, and it was the most awkward thing in the world."

She continued, "We're 15 years old. It's not like, all right, let's just do it. We're obviously like, 'Okay... what do you wanna do now? Shall we hug?' No idea what to do. There's not really preparation."

2 But Millie Bobby Brown Generally Doesn't Mind Filming Romantic Scenes

Though their first kiss was a little strange, Millie states that she doesn't mind filming romantic scenes with her co-star and manages to keep it professional.

Millie told E! News, “It’s relatively easy, I think,” and said she feels at ease working with Finn on them. “It’s our jobs. It’s in the scripts and we feel comfortable with each other, we feel trusted, we’re in a safe environment. So, it’s relatively easy.”

Brown added, “I think people hype it up to be awkward, more awkward than it is. But it’s just like your friend, so it’s chill.”

1 Millie Bobby Brown Says It's Easy Working With Finn Wolfhard Because He Respects Girls And Women

Things certainly changed between the actors once their on-screen characters started dating, but before long Millie had moved past that initial awkwardness because, well, as Millie says - they are 'best friends.' Finn's respect for women also makes it a breeze.

"I’ve known him since I was 10," Millie said during a frank interview with Netflix magazine. "But I would prefer to do it with him than with someone I didn’t know. We know how to work together really well, and he has respect for girls, for me."
