Selena Gomez gets ‘love yourself first’ tattoo

Selena Gomez has made her self-love mantra permanent.

Celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang McCurdy posted a snapshot of a new piece he inked on the 21-year-old “Spring Breakers” star on Wednesday.

“Little gift for my friend @selenagomez,” he wrote on Instagram.

McCurdy told E! News that Gomez — who was spotted day-drinking with a male and a female friend at Williamsburg hot spot The Bedford last week — visited him about a month ago for the tattoo.

“Its meaning translates to ‘Love Yourself,'” he explained, noting it is an Arabic translation of the phrase “Love Yourself First.”

McCurdy added that Gomez knew exactly what she wanted. “Selena already had it written out how she wanted,” he said. “The tattoo is about 4 inches, and didn’t take too long, probably about 30-45 minutes. The longest part is laying it out. We played with it a bit laying it out, until we found the perfect spot.”
