Netflix’s popular reality show Too Hot To Handle takes singles from across the globe who have been “choosing meaningless sex over genuine relationships” on a journey to suppress their sexual desires. The goal is to not let physical attraction outweigh an emotional connection. The contestants learn quickly that their actions, such as kissing or more, have serious consequences and a steep price tag.

They all learn important lessons about themselves during the season, and while some couples work well together, a lot of them were unexpected.

8 Izzy And Truth
Izzy was attracted to Truth pretty much right away. She told Georgia she was turned on by his confidence when he picked her up and kissed her on the first night. She’s a confident woman herself, however, so their coupling up was a bit unexpected due to his classic player vibes. She once confronted him after he got a little too cozy with Jaz at the first workshop, and he said, “I’m a smooth criminal. I know how to ease into it.” He lies to her face saying he told Jaz he wants to be with Izzy, and kisses her. She finds out later Truth wasn’t telling the truth.
7 Jaz And Truth
Jaz and Truth get close at the workshop, where he starts playing the field, telling her, “I don’t feel Izzy that way.” The next day, Lana exposes him for kissing Izzy, and Jaz calls him out, saying, “I’m a little confused about that, we had our thing at the workshop, so I’m a little pissed off about that.” Truth is stuck in the middle as Izzy and Jaz learn about his lies. The night before, he said, “I told Jazz, Izzy is my number one.” Jazz is a sweet, beauty pageant girl and isn’t interested in playing his games, saying, “he’s been lying to both of us, saying little sweet-nothings to me and telling her he’s not really into it. So, at this point, I’m kinda like over him.”

6 Georgia And Stevan
Georgia had three guys fighting over her at first, but Stevan was the first to get a shot. She said, “he’s got the edge I usually go for, like the bad boy.” She wanted him because he looked like a rule-breaker. She was right as he kissed her on the second night. Their connection faded quickly as Georgia is the heartthrob and self-proclaimed “serial-ghoster,” while Stevan seems to have a genuine romantic side. She gets bored and scared off quickly when her love interest is too interested. She gets turned off by his profession of love for her, saying, “I don’t like people being like that with me.”
5 Georgia And Gerrie
After Georgia’s fling with Stevan ends, she moves on to one of the new boys, Gerrie, saying, “my prayers have been answered.” He shares similar feelings, saying, “she almost swept my feet underneath me.” They're a bit of an odd couple as the season progresses, as her noncommittal style isn’t a match for his touchy-feely affection. She admits her situation with Gerrie makes her feel uncomfortable, and when he wants to take the next step with her, she says, “I see this as a really really good friendship.”

4 Nathan And Olga
It was surprising how solid Nathan and Holly became on just the first day, but his head turned quickly for another girl. When Olga joins the cast in the third episode and asks him on a date, he says, “Holly and I have had something great, but I’ve only known her for a couple of days. It’s going to be increasingly hard to keep my sh*t together.” This connection was unexpected, with her blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin being the complete opposite of Holly’s dark hair and a tan complexion. He tells Olga, “I’ve spent a couple of days with Holly, but that doesn’t mean I can’t get to know what you're about. I’m a free man at the moment.”
3 Izzy And Jackson
Izzy has eyes for one of the new boys in episode six, saying, “Jackson is so fit, and I really fancy him.” There is a bit of unexpected competition between Izzy and Olga for Jackson’s attention, but Jackson’s affections go to Izzy. He says, “she’s super sexy, and I’m really attracted to her.” Aside from physical attraction, they appeared to not connect on an emotional level, having different personalities and energy levels.
2 Izzy And Georgia
Izzy and Georgia were never a couple, but they did connect quickly. They’re both rule-breakers, flirtatious, and open with their sexuality. They caused the first rule break and cost the group $3000. It never went anywhere, but most of the group was surprised by their indiscretions. Patrick called Georgia a criminal for lying, and Stevan said, “I can’t be that mad, that’s hot.” It was an unexpected connection, unnecessary cost, and lacking genuine feeling.

1 Beaux And Harry
In the beginning, Harry is brutally honest with Beaux, saying, “I’ve gotten along better with you than with Georgia, but I’m more attracted to Georgia.” Over the season, their friendship unexpectedly blossoms into a romantic connection. They bond in the painting body workshop as they both have very playful personalities. Harry slaps blue paint on her bottom, showing they can have fun and laugh a lot together. Harry says, “I wasn’t really attracted to Beaux, but I’m starting to notice she has a really cute laugh. The way she sticks her tongue out.” Later in the season, they open up to each other and, by the end, make their genuine connection official, taking home the prize pot as a couple.
